Reflect
I was not able to access the relaxation exercise discussed in our class, but I have done guided meditation, so I imagine this was something along those lines. I am very much a beginner with meditation, I need the guided meditation, mainly because I really SUCK at controlling my mind, slowing my thoughts and finding focus. The guided meditation gives me words to fallow and concentrate on. I hope that with some practice, I will be able to do it on my own. I think I will find an even better level of relaxation and have a much better connection with myself and my ability to control my mind if I am able to guide myself. Even so, I love the experience of guided relaxation/meditation. It is something you can feel immediately, you experience an increased feeling of wellness right away. It truly calms and soothes your body and mind. A goal I would really like to push myself towards is a relaxation exercise/meditation everyday, preferably one for the morning and one for the evening. It is very possible, but it is one of those things that takes "doing" and often, I am not up for "doing" any more than what I already do! :)

First Blog
Hi Everyone,
This is my first blog. I have read other blogs, and think it is pretty cool!! This will be a fun way to enjoy our class and discuss wellness.
For my first blog I will post a little about myself :).
I am 27 years old, I grew up in a very small town in Arizona (St. Johns). I was raised by a single Mother with my younger Sister, and we are a very very close and loving group of gals. I also have an older half-Sister, we have a really cool story to our lives with her.
After graduating high school I joined the Air Force for four years active duty, I did network administration for the communication squadron at Hill AFB, in Utah. I finished my enlistment and went into the reserves as a Paralegal for two more years. While I was a reservist, I was active a lot, but I did have a few civilian jobs, I was an insurance agent, and even a security guard for a while :).
I met my AMAZING Husband and his two AWESOME sons August, 28th 2006, and we were married June 10th, 2007, that is when we became the BALDO FAM. I am truly blessed to have these three as my family!
I always was very interested in nutrition and fitness, but I discovered wellness as my passion after a small car accident and having chiropractic treatment. I am especially moved by the failing quality of our food supply.
